Recording from the internet radio / internet-telephony / web radio

A) Open your favorite internet radio / internet-telephony / web radio
B) Open Free Audio Editor and choose 1"New Record", select the desired recording quality, click 2OK.
Select the desired recording quality

C) Select the recording source and level: 
Windows XP/2000Icon Win200Icon WinXp
  1. Activate 3Stereo Mix by clicking Line In. (Stereo Mix not available*?).
  2. You should see the signal on the 4LEDs.
  3. Change the 5recording volume so the LEDs show a medium level.
Select the recording source and level Windows VistaIcon Vista
  1. See "How To Change The Audio Source in Vista"
  2. Activate Stereo Mix. (Stereo Mix not available*?).
D) Click button 6Record. Wait until some music has been recorded.
 
E) Save your recording to disk:
Click button 7Pause and 8Keep. Free Audio Editor will open recorded music in the Audio Editor, click button 9Save File As....

Save your recording to disk


*) No channel "Stereo Mix" available?

Other possible channels for internet radio are:

  • "What U Hear"
  • "Wave"
  • "Record Master"
  • "Stereo Sum"

If there is none of the listed channels on your mixer, please try all of them until you see the signal on the LEDs of Free Audio Editor.
